Frequently asked questions
How do you convert a bounty into chips?
First you work out the chip value of one starting bounty: KO part × (starting stack ÷ total buy-in). Then you convert the target KO proportionally: (target KO ÷ KO part) × one bounty's value × share kept.
Is the rake taken into account?
Yes. The calculation uses the total buy-in, rake included, as its conversion basis: each euro of bounty is therefore worth slightly fewer chips, because part of every buy-in goes to fees and never makes it into play. This is intentional, so the chip value of a bounty isn't overestimated.
Why is a bounty worth more late in a tournament?
As players get knocked out, less bounty money remains for the same chips in play, so each bounty is worth more in chips. In progressive formats you also win back the bounty on your own head when you reach heads-up.
What is the difference between fixed and progressive KO?
In a fixed KO (or Mystery), the whole bounty is cash you pocket: you keep all of it. In a progressive KO, part is pocketed and part goes onto your head (often half and half), a split you can adjust depending on the format.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser; nothing is saved or sent to a server or tied to an account, even if you create one.
