Frequently asked questions
How do you convert a bounty into chips?
You multiply the bounty (cash) by the share you actually keep, then by a chips-to-money conversion rate. The rate depends on the starting stack and how the buy-in is split between the prize pool and the bounty pool.
What method does the calculation use?
The tool uses the Bounty Power method: your bounty is measured against all the chips in play and all the money in play (prize pool and bounties combined), the way GTO Wizard does. It is the correct method, which avoids overstating a bounty's value in chips.
Why is a bounty worth more late in a tournament?
As players get knocked out, less bounty money remains for the same chips in play, so each bounty is worth more in chips. In progressive formats you also win back the bounty on your own head when you reach heads-up.
What is the difference between fixed and progressive KO?
In a fixed KO (or Mystery), the whole bounty is cash you pocket: you keep all of it. In a progressive KO, part is pocketed and part goes onto your head (often half and half), a split you can adjust depending on the format.
Are my tournaments saved?
Yes, but only in your browser. You find your tournaments and settings again when the page reloads. Nothing is sent to a server or tied to an account, even if you create one.
