Responsible gambling

Poker Toolkit is a poker study tool. We do not organise any gambling, we do not take any bets and we are not a partner of any gambling operator.

Real-money poker comes with risks

Real-money poker is a game of chance played for money. It can lead to addiction and significant financial losses. Only play with money you can afford to lose without any impact on your daily life.

Forbidden to minors

Gambling is forbidden to minors. The legal age is 18 in most countries, but it can be higher: 19 in most Canadian provinces, 21 in many US states. The age for each country is shown in the list below.

Check that gambling is legal where you live

Rules on real-money gambling change from one country to another. Before you play, check that it is legal in your country of residence and only play on sites authorised by the competent authority.

When gambling takes up too much room

A few warning signs:

  • You play longer or with more money than you planned.
  • You play again to win back what you lost.
  • You borrow money, or use money meant for essential expenses, to play.
  • You hide from your family and friends how much time or money you spend on gambling.
  • You think about gambling all the time, or you feel irritable when you are not playing.
  • Gambling affects your sleep, your work or your family life.

If this sounds like you, talk about it. Free and confidential services exist.
